Afa Fastigheter Appoints New Head

Stockholm (NordSIP) – According to a press release, Afa Fastigheter has appointed Fredrik Bergenstråhle as CEO, starting this summer. He is leaving his current position as CEO of Skanska Fastigheter Stockholm AB, where he has led Skanska’s commercial real estate operations in the Stockholm area for the past seven years. With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Bergenstråhle brings extensive expertise to his new role. Mikael Huldt, head of asset management at Afa Försäkring, commented on the appointment (in Swedish): We look forward to welcoming Fredrik Bergenstråhle as the new head of Afa Fastigheter this summer. Fredrik has worked in the real estate industry for almost 20 years and is highly knowledgeable in the field. With his long and deep experience, he will be able to contribute to the continued development of Afa Fastigheter.

As Bergenstråhle takes over, Tomas Ingemarsson, who has served as the head of Afa Fastigheter for 23 years, will retire. Huldt expressed gratitude for Ingemarsson’s years of service, stating (in Swedish): We want to thank Tomas for the outstanding work he has done for Afa Fastigheter during his 23 years as head of the company. Tomas has shown great and genuine commitment to Afa Fastigheter and its development throughout all his years as leader of the organisation. Ingemarsson’s leadership has played a significant role in shaping Afa Fastigheter’s position in the industry, and the transition marks an important shift in the company’s leadership.

Afa Fastigheter is part of Afa Försäkring’s asset management division, which is owned by Swedish labor market partners, including Svenskt Näringsliv, LO, and PTK. Afa Försäkring provides financial security for Swedish workers through insurance covering illness, workplace injuries, redundancy, death, and parental leave.
